Krantz develop, design and manufacture air distribution systems, cooling and heating systems for ceiling and façade installations as well as exhaust gas filtration, dampers and clean air solutions.

Krantz products have gained a well earned reputation for high quality and innovative solutions to a wide range of applications from commercial offices, industrial halls, multifunction sites, theatres, airports and swimming pools.

In 1882, engineer Hermann Krantz founded Krantz in Aachen, Germany. 40 years later, in the 1920's, Krantz focused on high temperature water heating and the sale of air distribution components for the textile industry.

The next milestone in the history of Krantz took place in the 1950's as the first air distribution components for the nuclear industry were created. By the 1970's Krantz held 400 patents for components and air distribution systems, establishing itself as the market leader.

In 2009 Krantz invested heavily in building a state of the art 1000m2 Research & Development Centre, an unrivalled facility for product testing through environment simulation.

Six years later, in 2015, the Krantz "Space for Innovation" opened to the public; a permanent exhibition that conveys the specialties of both Krantz and Caverion products and services.

The Aachen-based Research and Development Centre is fully with state-of-the-art apparatus. The Krantz R&D engineers search for innovative, energy-efficient HVAC solutions and test them in experimental labs. If the tests are successful, the solutions will be thoroughly checked in our engineering department where they are further developed into new products.

To meet bespoke customer requirements, engineers perform application orientated research and development work in a modern testing laboratory hall having a floor area of 1 000 m², a height of 12 m, and a length of 37 m.
